What is the GentleLase Hair Removing process?
Unlike conventional methods of shaving, waxing, plucking, tweezing and even electrolysis, the GentleLase hair removing process is very easy. Using only the gentle power of laser light, GentleLase gently remove unwanted hair by targeting the hair follicles and slowing the growing capacity of these follicles in their growth cycle. It requires no creams, no gels, no pre-treatment waxing and no needles. The GentleLase lasing process safely removes unwanted hair without damaging the delicate pores and structures of the skin. Your skin is protected from heat injury by the Dynamic Cooling Device, which places a burst of cryogen spray onto the skin before and after the laser pulse. The patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) is unique to Candela lasers and no other hair removal laser has it. It protects you against thermal injury, making the treatment much more comfortable. This patented technology is a medical breakthrough, surpassing conventional, more painful hair removal methods. This hair removal treatment is gentle, safe, quick, and patients usually experience little or no pain and discomfort (sensation, if any, is often described as insect bite). This new technique can treat larger areas like backs and legs. Facial and bikini areas are usually completed under 20 minutes, while larger areas such as legs and backs can take a little longer.
How many treatments will I need?
Hair grows in cycles. The number of treatments required for optimal long term benefits will vary, depending on the treated areas and the individual (such as your skin, hair color, hair density, hair’s growth cycle, age, ethnicity, hormonal levels). On an average, 5-7 treatments may be required.
Unlike traditional methods like shaving, GentleLase hair removal process does not cause hair to grow back thicker, darker or quicker. In fact, the opposite will occur i.e. it will cause hair to come back slower and thinner, or in some cases not at all.
