What is chemical peel?
Chemical peel is a skin resurfacing treatment that uses a blend of glycolic acid peel formula to gently remove the outer surface layer of aged, photo-damaged, &/or blemished skin. The outer layers of dead skin cells exfoliate and are replaced by younger, tighter, smoother, glowing and radiant looking skin irregardless of age, color and skin type. This treatment takes about 10 minutes, is minimally invasive with no downtime. A very popular lunchtime procedure for many.
Chemical peel should only be performed by qualified doctors. In addition to the basic chemical peel, we have added 3 more enhancements:
Chemical Peel – Clarifying Peel Booster
A formula of citric acid and mandelic acid to treat oily and/or blemish-prone skin. It helps to unclog pores and reduce pore size. The removal of the outer layers of accumulated dead skin cells helps to kill bacteria in the pores that cause acne, dry active acne and control further acne outbreaks, returning your face to its clear, soft, supple complexion.
Chemical Peel - Brightening Peel Booster
This is a unique blend of citric acid, kojic acid and arbutin aimed to lighten and fade pigmented skin, acne scarring, brown spots and sun damaged skin. Works well to clear uneven skin tone, smooth out rough skin texture and improve dull skin.
Chemical Peel – Anti-oxidant Peel Booster
A blend of citric acid with anti-oxidant and anti-aging formula to treat aged and/or environmental-damaged skin. This distinctive blend promotes the regeneration of new skin cells, reduces wrinkles and fine lines, returning skin to its firm and supple complexion.
Depending on a patient’s specific conditions, our doctor will determine which type of chemical peel and strength of the peel is most suitable. Periodic multiple treatments may be necessary (as advised by the doctor) to accelerate skin cell renewal process until the desired effects are achieved. It is important to protect your skin from the sun following chemical peels. Ask your doctor to recommend a sunblock with adequate UVA & UVB protection. |
